Did you know?

Founded in 1976, the Dorval Weavers’ Guild exists to promote the craft of weaving.
Members meet on the third Tuesday of each month from September to May to coordinate projects and events. Projects are usually a group effort and include scarves, placemats, tablecloths, and reusable bags. Events includes guest talks, workshops and a five-week weaving course offered by senior members of the Guild for $50.00.

The Guild’s studio is open to members seven days a week and is equipped with multiple looms (4, 8,12 and 16 harnesses), a spinning wheel, a warping board and an extensive library.

Each year culminates in an exhibition where members have the opportunity to display and sell their work.

  • The annual membership fee is 30.00$ for resident and 40.00$ for non-residents.
  • From September 1st to August 31st.
  • The membership gives you access to a well-equipped studio.

The Guild welcomes new members! Anyone interested in weaving is welcome to attend a monthly meeting or send an email.
